The Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority has lifted the Fire Advisory that was previously in effect for the Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87, the Summer Villages of Bonnyville Beach and Pelican Narrows, and the Village of Glendon. The advisory was lifted effective June 2, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. due to recent rainfall and favorable weather conditions.
With the advisory removed, the region has returned to its regular fire permitting procedures.
What This Means
- The Fire Advisory is no longer in effect.
- Regular fire permit processes have resumed.
- Residents and visitors may continue to enjoy outdoor fires and permitted burning activities while following all applicable regulations and permit requirements.
Continue Practicing Fire Safety
Although conditions have improved, everyone is encouraged to remain vigilant and practice responsible fire safety.
When extinguishing a campfire, remember to:
- Soak it
- Stir it
- Soak it again
A fire is only safe when it is cool to the touch. Any wildfire should be reported immediately by calling 310-FIRE.
