The Summer Village of Bonnyville Beach has 60 years of history on the shore of Moose Lake. In 2008 we celebrated our 50th anniversary with a party held at our beach hall. It was a great time and we hope to hold more Meet your Neighbours parties for many more years.
Only a few months to go until we Hit 60 years in 2018 - planning for this will be going on up to the last minute
2021 is the next election year for council, think about serving the public for a 4 year term, it can be very rewarding.
The Annual General Meeting is held on the third Saturday in July, this gives everyone a chance to meet the council and get their opinion and wants aired.
Our council is made up of 3 elected councillors, one of whom is appointed Mayor or Chief Elected Officer. Elections are held every 4 years under the regulations laid out in the Alberta Municipal Government Act
One of the most important things we can do as a lakeshore municipality it to ensure that we do all we can to make the lake the best experience for everyone. While we can make the most of our own actions everyone in the summer village needs to make sure that others understand that their actions are also something that will affect the lake quality for us and for our future generations.
Watch for new developments with the Watershed society.
